About Us

Davies & Co. (Environmental) Ltd is an independent company specialising in the emission testing of cremation equipment, abated and unabated, in conformance with current legislation. We provide a thorough and competitive service, using MCertS certified technicians, following EN and national standards for testing as appropriate. We produce comprehensive reports in line with the requirements of the environmental agencies. Also we offer a service for calibration and testing of site monitoring instrumentation and dust extraction systems ensuring compliance requirements are met.

Our History

Davies & Co. (Engineering) Ltd was incorporated in 1962 as a general engineering company, but during 2000 began undertaking stack emissions tests, mainly covering cremation furnaces and incinerators. In 2014 the company changed its name to Davies & Co. (Environmental) Ltd to more accurately reflect the nature of our business activities. Since this time, Davies & Co. (Environmental) Ltd have undertaken emissions tests at over 200 UK Crematoria, and continue to grow. Davies & Co. (Environmental) Ltd are a part of The Facultatieve Group with Headquarters in The Netherlands.

Our Ethos

Davies & Co. (Environmental) Ltd understand high temperature combustion processes, and apply this knowledge to the measurement of emissions from them. Our MCertS registered staff undertake the site emissions sampling in accordance with the relevant test protocols, and the samples obtained are analysed by an independent UKAS accredited laboratory to give truly independent, impartial results. The subsequent report that is issued presents the results in an easy to understand format, with all test data and calculations appended.
